Owner Cheryl Geschke believes that knitting and crocheting should be relaxing and she encourages her staff to make sure that customers have a welcoming feeling when they enter the doors of the big blue house. Inside, the lavender and gold theme is muted by the vivid colors of more than 1,200 square feet of fine yarns, accessories, notions and hand crafted jewelry by local designers.

laugh, love what you do and help you feel at home whether during
a sit 'n knit, specialized class or during your shopping experience.

The Desperate Knitters Club is open to all visitors. For an annual
fee of $25, DK Knitters receive 10 percent off all their yarn and
needles for an entire year. Plus they are invited to special events
featuring new yarns and free patterns.
